Palliative Care Education and Research Leadership

The PEARL (Palliative care Education And Research Leadership) Institute is an interdisciplinary group of scholars, researchers, educators, and clinicians collaborating to improve the care of the seriously ill and their families through education, research, and clinical care.

The mission of the PEARL Institute is to improve the care of individuals with advanced disease and their families through education, research and leadership.

Objectives:

• Foster and stimulate interdisciplinary inquiry and knowledge

• Contribute to expansion and translation of research

• Serve as a resource to professional and lay community (Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio)

• Provide opportunities for active, creative and continuous learning

• Advocate for policies that support access to high quality palliative care
