Informatics faculty position. Candidates should have formal training in either nursing informatics, biomedical informatics or health informatics, and demonstrate scholarly accomplishments or contributions to the informatics profession. Teaching experience is desirable as this faculty member will be required to teach informatics courses in our Masters and DNP programs. Successful candidates will be doctorally prepared. An appreciation for the linkages between education, practice, research and service is strongly preferred. Faculty appointment for this position will be made in accordance with the candidate's experience and career goals – candidates eligible for appointment to the tenure track will have an independent program of research.


  • Earned Doctorate from an accredited institution, with demonstrated coursework in Informatics
  • Expertise in areas such as clinical informatics, consumer health informatics, public health informatics and implementation science are essential to ensure a qualified, quality compliment of faculty in the program.
  • A distinguished record of scholarship including peer reviewed publications in Informatics.
  • Experience teaching graduate level courses preferred.
  • Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of students earning their degrees in a distance learning environment; teaching, advising and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication, team, and human‐relations skills.
  • Certification in Informatics is preferred.
  • Committed to the recruitment and development of a diverse faculty and student body.
  • Experience in student‐experience planning and assessment; and student, program, and school‐based learning outcomes assessment.

The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing collaborates and shares facilities with multiple clinical sites in Ohio including University Hospitals of Cleveland, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, MetroHealth Medical Center and Southwest General Hospital. Located on the beautiful campus of Case Western Reserve University, our building features teaching laboratories, conference spaces, health sciences library, a simulated operating room suite and numerous standardized patient rooms.
