CDR

CDR means that you can write the data ONCE. You cannot modify the file on the CD, but you can add more files to the disk.
How to write data to a CDR

1.  Open Roxio EZ CD Creator.

2.  Choose make a data cd , then datacd project.

3.  EZ CD Creator will open its explorer.  Select your source, and locate where the data is that you want to write to CD.

4.  Highlight the file(s) that you want to write, and ADD them.

5.  After all the files are chosen, click the RECORD button.

6.  Click the OPTIONS . Make sure you have buffer underrun prevention checked. Do not use disc at once, use track at once.

7. Track at once. You have 3 choices here. It is not recommended to use don't finalize session. You will not be able to read the CD in other drives.
Use either finalize session, dont finalize CD OR finalize CD.

Finalize session, don't finalize CD:  Use this if you will want to add more files on the CD later. REMEMBER: you cannot modify the files already written to the CD, but with this option
you can add more files later, so that you can use empty space, and not have to waste so many cd's.

Finalize CD: This option will close the CD. You will NOT be able to write to the CD again. This is recommended if you are filling the CD to it's capacity (check the project size gauge to
see how much space you are using), copying a CD for backup purposes, or creating a music cd.

8.  After you make your selection, hit start recording. It is recommended not to use other programs while creating a CD. It will increase your chances of a buffer underrun, which
means that the CD wasn't created correctly and you will have to start with a new one.

9.  Make sure it is readable in other drives before you take it to class to present. You can do this by putting the CD in your DVD drive (the top drive) and seeing if you can open files.

That's it!
