READING CASE MAIL WITH EUDORA AND OUTLOOK

Eudora

Eudora is a simple, yet effective email client that most faculty and staff use to read their Case email.

Eudora is best used on a personal computer, or an office computer that is assigned just to you. It is not recommended that you use Eudora on shared computers.

Eudora has many features which enable the you to personalize your email, such as fonts, signatures, address books, etc.

For those who would like to use Eudora on their personal computer, you may download the installer for free from www.eudora.com. For installation on your office computer, please contact the FPB Helpdesk at x6322.

How to Configure Eudora for Case Mail

First you must decide whether you are going to use POP or IMAP. Please refer to our comparison page to decide.

NOTE: All new office Eudora clients are being configured with IMAP.

Microsoft Outlook

Outlook is a powerful multi-function email client. Though most faculty and staff use Eudora, if you have used Outlook in the past, it is recommended that you continue to use Outlook with your Case email.

Outlook is best used on a personal computer, or an office computer that is assigned just to you. It is not recommended that you use Outlook on shared computers.

Outlook has many features which enable the you to personalize your email, such as fonts, signatures, address books, etc.

For those who would like to use Outlook on their personal computer, you may download the entire Microsoft Office Suite from the Software Center for free. For installation on your office computer, please contact the FPB Helpdesk at x6322.
