Welcome to your new laptop setup!

Familiarize yourself with the setup.

· You have a monitor, monitor stand, docking station, laptop, carry case and travel power supply.

Monitor

· The power button to the monitor, is located on the front right corner of the monitor.

· Your monitor has USB ports on the LEFT side for USB keys, etc…

Monitor Stand

· The laptop clicks into the docking station, which resides within the monitor stand.

· The power button for the laptop is located on the front of the monitor stand.

· The docking station snaps into the monitor stand an can be moved forward and back with the tabs

Docking Station

· Your laptop “snaps into” the connector ports on the docking station.

· When you undock the laptop, you need to press down firmly on the eject button.

· The dock has a power button as well.

Laptop

· For D6xx series, your DVDR+/-W – CD drive is located on the right side of the laptop.

· For D4xx series, your drive is external.

· USB ports are located on the sides, and back of the laptop.

· Docking station connector is located on the bottom.

· For D620, and above, your wireless toggle switch is located on the right side.

· For earlier versions, your wireless toggle is the FN-F2 key combination.

· Floppy drives are not included, unless specifically ordered.

Docking and Power

Docking your laptop

· Place the laptop over the docking station connector port.

o (may take a little adjusting, then it will “sit” into the connector)

· Press firmly, until you hear it click (usually two fast clicks)

Undocking your laptop

· Shut down laptop (start/shutdown/shut down).

· Press the eject button on the docking station.

Powering on your system

Undocked

· Open the laptop.

· Press power key.

Docked

· Press the power key on the monitor.

· Press the laptop power key on the monitor stand.
