How to Scan
using the Feeding Tray on the HP 8200
(Documents or PDF)
- Log into the computer with YOUR username and password.
(The one that you use to log in to your computer…)
- To create a document/PDF out of multiple pages,
place your pages, face up, top to the left in the feeder. If you only have
one page, you may use either the feeder or the flatbed.
- Note: if you would like to make several
separate PDF’s, instead of one PDF containing
all of your pages, you may do so. Just repeat steps 2-9.
- Note #2: you can do one side or duplex (if you
have a front and back document) with the tray, by toggling the duplex
switch on the top of the cover.
- Note #3: please do not turn the scanner off
(power button on top). Keep the scanner turned on for other users.
- On the computer, start HP Director.

- Choose Scan
Documents.
- In the Hp Scanning window, make sure Scan to is
set to Save to File.

- Let the scanner do it’s
thing…
- A window will appear at the end giving you the
option to add more pages (if necessary) or to save the pages you have now.
Choose the appropriate option.
- When you choose Done, it will ask you to
save. You may choose between PDF
(for Acrobat) or RTF.
- Give your PDF a name, and save the document.
When you finish, you may save the item in My Documents momentarily. You must remove the documents when
