NOA 030/040/130/140/170
- Connect the laptop to the cable on the wall
controller. (the one labeled “laptop”;
not “pc” or “video/av”)
- The connector matches the port on the back of
your laptop, often colored blue. You do not need to screw the connector
in.
- (optional) connect the speaker port to your
laptops speaker port (has a picture of headphones on it, usually colored
green)
- Remember to bring your power cable and connect to
the power outlet.
- Turn your laptop on.
To turn it projector ON:
- Press and release the “Display Power” button on
the wall controller. Do not hold it down, just push it once.
- Give it about 30-45 seconds for a picture to show
up on the screen and for the lights to stop flashing on the wall
controller.
- If you are concerned it isn’t coming on, look at
the projector. Next to the power button, a green light will start
flashing. It will be solid once the projector has finished starting up.
- Make sure the laptop button on the control panel
is pressed, instead of “pc” or the
video button.
- Select the input you wish to use by pushing the
corresponding black button above or below the input option.
- If you are using a laptop, you will likely need
to change its output method. If you are only seeing a display on one
screen (not both the laptop and wall), do the following:
- (Dell) hold the FN key down
- While holding FN, click F8 key once (still hold
FN)
i.
This will display
the output methods.
ii.
There are three
output methods: laptop only, laptop and screen, screen only.
iii.
By continuing to
hold the FN key down, you may slowly hit the F8 key to tab to each output
method. Give it a few seconds to recognize each method you choose before moving
to the next one.
- You will want to choose the laptop and screen
output, usually indicated by a picture of two monitors (on some
computers)
- Other laptops have different key combinations.
(Ex: Toshiba is FN-F5).
i.
To find your key
combination, locate the F key with a picture of a monitor or the word “LCD” on
it. Use that with FN.
-
- You can also plug in the speakers to your laptop.
- Adjust the volume as necessary on the wall
control panel. Be careful not to turn it too loud if you aren’t playing
anything!
To turn it OFF:
- Push the “Display Power” button on the wall
controller, and hold it until the
projector stops displaying then release. The green light will start to
flash, as well as the selected input method.
- The projector will turn off.
- Various lights on the control panel will flash
for up to 60 seconds, after which all the lights will shut off.
- Disconnect your laptop.
