You will be provided a computer in your office. You will also be provided with a space on the server, called your H drive. (Grant staff will not have their own H drive, rather they will have access to a shared drive for their grant department.)
All faculty and staff, other than grant staff, will be assigned a unique login for their computer. This login will be your Case UserID, and a password of choice. (you may keep it the same as your UserID password for Case, or create a separate password for your FPBNT domain login.)
The first step to accessing your office computer is to activate your Case UserID (email). Once that is complete, we will be able to add you to our servers.
Please email the helpdesk or ask Kathy O'Linn to pass along the following information to us:
(instructions for using Case email are to the left in the menu)
1. Your name, and Case UserID
2. Your office room number
3. Which email client you prefer on your computer (Outlook or Eudora)
-->Note: Clinical faculty and shared computers will use Case Webmail for privacy issues, unless otherwise noted.
The helpdesk will then set your account up on the computer, and leave a note explaning your H drive, backup, etc...
Note to grant employees: Some grant employees will have individual logins (typically if they do not share their computer) and some will have a global grant login. Please ask your project manager how you are setup, and they will inform us as to how to proceed.
