Windows Updates

Performing Windows Updates is a critical necessity. You may either perform them manually, or, if you have a constant connection to the internet, set your updates to be downloaded and installed automatically.

How to set updates to run automatically
Go to Start --> Control Panel
Open the Security Center icon
Click on "Automatic Updates" and a window will appear to configure your updates

How to run updates manually
Go to http://update.microsoft.com
Select either Express or Custom and download the updates that it receives

Microsoft Update
If you haven't already done so, on the update.microsoft page, you should download and install Microsoft Update. This will allow you to update ALL of your Microsoft products (IE: Office, Internet Explorer, etc) at once.

Do not bring a laptop to Case without having all updates for Windows and Antivirus!
