NEW STUDENTS
WELCOME NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS
Congratulations on being admitted to one of the country's premier nursing schools! Your admission means that you have shown that you have what it takes to excel in nursing and become a leader in the profession. I am excited that you are now officially part of the FPB family, and we look forward to your arrival when the first term of your degree program begins.
This site contains very important program-specific information such as orientation and other details from your academic program directors. As always, please feel free to contact any of our staff if you have any questions.
Now, more than ever, opportunities abound for nurses. As the health field continues to expand along with technology and an aging population, nurses are in demand like they have never been before. There is not only a need for more nurses; there is also a need for qualified, experienced nurses and nurse educators.
From clinical specialists to nurse practitioners, teachers, and researchers, FPB graduates assume professional roles in a variety of specialties. Many nursing students even become entrepreneurs. Graduates of FPB often acquire leadership positions because of the strong background they receive while they are students here. FPB provides a nurturing environment, a quality education, and a supportive network of alumni. We are a leader in global health, and our graduates serve in various professional nursing positions in over 25 countries.
As dean, I'm planning to preserve the long-standing, time-honored traditions and values of this school, while at the same time preparing the nurses of tomorrow for ever-changing health care needs. The culture of innovation and impact remain intact. We are a home to many firsts, and today we offer many specialty programs unique to FPB. A nationally recognized leader in the development of nursing science, the FPB School of Nursing is an institution we are all proud to call our own.
Congratulations again on choosing FPB. Be sure to contact us should you have any questions!
