Pre-Semester Expenses
       

1. Liability Insurance

2. Immunizations/Titers

Cost will vary according to which ones you need. They may cost you at least $100.00.

3. Textbooks (required and recommended)

Textbooks will be posted on the Blackboard site for each course. Once you are registered for your courses, you can access the Blackboard system via FPB’s Front Door. Your ability to access sites for specific courses will also depend on when the course faculty has activated the site. The books used for for NUND 205 & NUND 410 will also be used in the Spring semester.

4. Background Check

Estimated cost $70.00 (see more information on this site)

5. Lab Supply Kit

Approximately $90.00 (see more information on this site)

6. Uniforms

Students should plan to purchase at least two uniforms and a lab coat.

7. PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) or Handheld Computer

Highly recommended as a resource when you are in clinical practice. (see more information on this site)

Cost is approximately $300.00-400.00, depending on which software you purchase. The software can take the place of hard copy reference books. You will use your PDA throughout the pre-RN and MSN programs and into your professional nursing practice.
