GRADUATE ENTRY DNP STUDENT CPR CERTIFICATION

Updated 5/6/08
CPR Certification

Each student must maintain current CPR certification of Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers at all times during the Pre-licensure and MSN Programs.

Show your original card to Anne Watson, the Graduate Entry DNP Program Assistant no later than Friday, August 22 unless you take the course on Saturday, August 30. Then the card must be shown by Tuesday, Sept 2. Records are subject to verification at any time.

Options for Meeting the CPR Requirement

1.
Take a CPR course before you come to school. It must provide a card for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

For a listing of CPR courses in your area, visit the American Heart Association website. First, choose CPR & ECC on the left side of the screen, then select Find a Class Near You, indicate Health Care Professional, and select a BLS course that fits your schedule.

2.
Take a CPR course sponsored by the Grad Entry DNP and BSN Programs.
