• In October, a group of MSN students spent a week in San Raymundo, Guatemala staffing a clinic and seeing 150 patients per day. Community Outreach Program grants enabled FPB to purchase four rechargeable otoscopes to assist them in examining patients.

• Recovery following an acute coronary syndrome is a phase in a larger cardiovascular disease continuum, and prevention of downstream complications needs to begin immediately following the event, says Shirley M. Moore, PhD, RN, FAAN.

Our team of Maggie Mills, Rachel Studer, and Clare Heaney (with alternates Emily Antes, Maureen Musatto, and Alicia Snyder), ably coached by Kat Courtney and Kelly McConnell, competed against students from Cleveland State, Ursuline and Lorain Community College.
