Tweeting from the trenches

Flight nursing students pull together to triage patients during the August 14 disaster drill. On Friday, August 14, FPB conducted its first live Twitter coverage of an event. An officer of the school's marketing department, via cell phone, posted to Twitter and Facebook minute-by-minute commentary of the disaster drill at the National Flight Nurse Academy summer camp.

Each year, the exact nature of the drill is kept secret from students at the camp until it happens to better simulate responding to a sudden, unplanned natural or manmade event. FPB students and staff, as well as other members of the Case community, volunteered as victims during the action-packed drill.

The transcript of the Twitter feed is below. View photos from the camp here.
