More grandparents than ever are taking on the responsibilities of parenting their grandchildren, when the grandchild’s parents are out of the picture.
This new role is causing extra worry, says Professor Carol Musil in USA Today. She has seen a great deal of concern among the grandparents she has been studying since 1996. “It’s this magnified multi-generational parenting. They’re worrying about two generations of kids,” she explains.
