Dr. Rozella Schlotfeldt inducted into the Ohio Women's Hall of Fame
On behalf of Dean May L. Wykle of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, we are proud to announce that the late beloved Dean Emerita, Professor Emerita, and Honorary Alumna Rozella May Schlotfeldt has been selected by Ohio Governor Ted Strickland as a 2007 inductee into the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame. She will be inducted posthumously on Wednesday, June 6, 2007, in Columbus. The induction ceremony is from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm at the Ohio Statehouse, and is free and open to the public. Dean Wykle nominated her and will accept the honor on behalf of Dean Emerita Schlotfeldt that day.

Governor Strickland has written the following to Dean Wykle in a letter about Dr. Schlotfeldt’s induction: ‘This prestigious honor is in recognition of Dr. Schlotfeldt’s tremendous accomplishments, commitment to excellence, and service to others. She was truly an inspiration to all Ohioans. This year, Dr. Schlotfeldt will join 9 other new inductees and 356 total women for their outstanding contributions to Ohio, the nation, and the world.’ Established in 1978, the Ohio Women’s Hall of Fame is a tribute to Ohio’s trailblazing and pioneering women.
