Overview:

This conference is grounded in Martha E. Roger’s Science of Unitary Human Beings (SUHB), unitary science, and postmodern thought in nursing. This year’s conference will feature a Master Class in SUHB and unitary thought. The following day-and-a-half conference will provide academic presentations on nursing practice, theory, and research related to SUHB and unitary
science.

The goals of the conference are to:

1.
Disseminate emerging theoretical, scientific, and praxis knowledge in SUHB and unitary science
2.
Facilitate scholarly dialogue about postmodern thinking in nursing

Dr. Freshwater has had to withdraw from the conference; her co-author and colleague, Dr. Christopher Johns, will be presenting in her place.

Dr. Johns is an internationally recognized expert in reflective practice and application of complimentary therapies; his interest is in clinical leadership issues. He is the author of publications on palliative care, reflective practice, and caring theory.
