Came to FPB because...
My first attraction to FPB came from the clinical experience that is given, as well as the idea that it would start in the first semester of my freshman year. For me, this was ideal because it would let me know right away if a career in nursing was what I wanted. Beyond that, once I came to visit Case Western Reserve University, I could see that it was the ideal environment for me. It is large enough to provide a lot of opportunities, but still small enough that i wouldn't get lost in the crowd.

My most unique FPB experience:
It is really fantastic to be in the hospital from the very beginning. I talk to friends in other nursing programs, and they have hardly started nursing classes, let alone patient interaction. I feel like I've really gotten a jumpstart on experience, from learning how to talk to patients and their families to giving my first shots. The Bolton School really does a great job of providing as many opportunities as possible for you to take advantage of.

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of:
FPB... Opportunities
Nursing... Helping
Cleveland... Cold
Case Western Reserve University Friends
Clinicals... Learning

The best nursing class at FPB I've taken so far:
I really liked the nursing assessment class during second semester of my freshman year. It was the first time I felt like a REAL nurse. Between class and lab and clinical, I felt like everything I was doing was connecting and I could really have an impact on a patient's condition.

The best thing about being an FPB student:
Even in the larger classes, the professors really make an effort to get to know every student, and they are willing to meet with you and help you understand the materials. In clinicals, they really push you to take everything one step further, to ask questions, and to try to understand the overall nursing considerations of everything they do and all the information on the patient that you gather.

If I could...
...travel anywhere in the world, I would go to: Italy, to see where my family came from (and eat all the delicious food)
...eat dinner with any one person, living or deceased, real or fictional, I would choose: J.K. Rowling. I'd love to find out all the secrets behind Harry Potter.
...live in any era throughout history, I would pick: I think it would have been cool to live during the colonization of the Americas due to the excitement of starting something new and being the first ones here.
...invent anything, I would create: A way of travel that didn't involve any waiting

My plans after graduation:
After graduation I would love to work as a traveling nurse in pediatrics for a few years, to see the country and experience different lifestyles. Then I'd like to go back to graduate school to become a nurse practitioner and work in pediatrics.
