Shannon Brosek, BSN Student

Expected Year of Graduation: 2011

Hometown: Finleyville, Pennsylvania

Came to FPB because...
The aspect of FPB's program that appealed to me most was clinicals in the freshman year. In addition, I am getting the prestige of Case Western Reserve University that will put me ahead when I go to look for a job.

My most unique FPB experience:
It is really wonderful to to clinicals and learn how to take care of patients and talk to them. Sometimes, just talking to someone in the hospital can brighten up their day so much. It's a great feeling.

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of:
FPB... Personal
Nursing... Helping
Cleveland... Fun
Case Western Reserve University Prestige
Clinicals... Experience

The best nursing class at FPB I've taken so far:
I have not taken many nursing classes yet, but I love Nursing 111. It has lab, didactic, and clinical components. They all come together to give students a unique learning experience. I am really looking forward to the nursing classes I will have in the future.

The best thing about being an FPB student:
For me, the best thing about being an FPB student is knowing that I am getting a superior education compared to nursing students at other schools. I really like the personalized attention that I am getting from my instructors.

If I could...
...travel anywhere in the world, I would go to: I would like to visit England someday.
...eat dinner with any one person, living or deceased, real or fictional, I would choose: Marilyn Monroe, because she seems like she was an interesting person!
...live in any era throughout history, I would pick: I would have liked to live in the 1960s because of all the historical events that happened.
...invent anything, I would create: I would invent some way to cure HIV/AIDS and cancer.

My plans after graduation:
After graduation, I plan to get a higher degree, possibly at FPB. Then I will go on to get a job, knowing that I have the skills and expertise that will put me at the top.
