Leslie Kushner, MSN Student

Expected Year of Graduation: 2009

Hometown: Cleveland, Ohio

Came to FPB because...
My mother attended Flora Stone Mather, so when I decided to go to nursing school there was no other choice for me but FPB.

My most unique FPB experience:
Having started out as a non-traditional student at Case Western Reserve, I am amazed and excited to be able to teach OB clinicals for FPB. How exceptional!

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of:
FPB... Love it!
Nursing... Terrific opportunities for growth
Cleveland... Indians!
Case Western Reserve University Love it
Clinicals... Fun

The best nursing class at FPB I've taken so far:
I feel that Well Woman Care is the best I've taken. I can't believe how much I am enjoying it!

The best thing about being an FPB student:
The comradery. When I was a BSN, my husband had cancer. My classmates took turns sitting with me during his surgery. They also studied in his hospital room during his treatment. I could not have done it without them.

If I could...
...travel anywhere in the world, I would go to: Israel
...eat dinner with any one person, living or deceased, real or fictional, I would choose: Mary Breckinridge, who founded the Frontier Midwifery School
...live in any era throughout history, I would pick: The Victorian era
...invent anything, I would create: A website called FaintingFathers.com (with videos!)

My plans after graduation:
Becoming a midwife! I also hope that after graduation I can continue teaching here at FPB.
