Allison Williams, BSN Student

Expected Year of Graduation: 2010

Hometown: Westlake, Ohio

Came to FPB because...
Once I found out that FPB started nursing clinicals in the first year, I was hooked. I would get two extra years of clinical at FPB, which would help me in the long run. Also, I thought that the reputations of both Case Western Reserve University and FPB were more well-known than the other schools I had applied to.

My most unique FPB experience:
Just being able to go to clinicals and being able to do the skills we learned. My biggest milestone so far was passing medications. It was very nervewracking when I did it my first time, but after passing medications several times, I feel very relaxed and comfortable doing it now.

The first word that comes to my mind when I think of:
FPB... Nursing
Nursing... Caring
Cleveland... Jacob's Field
Case Western Reserve University... Well-known
Clinicals... Patients

The best nursing class at FPB I've taken so far:
I really like the community clinical classes, because I really enjoy kids and interacting with them. Also, I am interested in school nursing, so this class is helping me understand what a school nurse does on a daily basis in their school.

The best thing about being an FPB student:
To me, the best thing is being able to start clinicals in my first year at FPB.

If I could...
...travel anywhere in the world, I would go to: Hawaii
...eat dinner with any one person, living or deceased, real or fictional, I would choose: My grandfather
...live in any era throughout history, I would pick: The Civil War

My plans after graduation:
As of right now, I plan to get a job as a nurse at a local hospital where I live. Currently, I haven't decided what type of nursing I want to do, but I am interested in OB, pediatrics, geriatrics, school nursing, and postoperative care.
