The Center for Self-Management Advancement through Research and Translation (SMART) Center will sponsor a National Self-Management, State-of-the-Science Conference on Sunday, September 26, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Dr. Judith Hibbard, a national leader in research related to patient-activation, will deliver the keynote address. Self-management center representatives from five NIH-funded Centers of Excellence in Self-Management Research in the country will share advances in self-management science and where they see the science moving forward. This is a great opportunity for self-management researchers to contribute to setting the research agenda for the future.
