SUPPORT FPB

A LEGACY OF PHILANTHROPY...

Three Steps

In 1923, Frances Payne Bolton, the first woman from Ohio to serve in the United States Congress, established a $1.5 million endowment in memory of her mother, Mary Payne Bingham, for the establishment of a University School of Nursing. Now bearing the name of its generous benefactor, the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing is a lasting legacy to a woman who cared deeply about giving back through philanthropy and the field of nursing.

Alumni and friends spanning generations have continued her legacy of philanthropy and support of nursing through gifts to the FPB School of Nursing. This support has enabled FPB to:

  • Provide scholarships to talented students who could not otherwise attend nursing school
  • Attract and retain faculty who are expert in their fields
  • Provide innovative research opportunities for improving the practice of nursing everywhere
  • Continue to update and enhance our Learning Resource Center so that students are working with the latest technology offered in the field of nursing
  • Provide funding for needed capital improvements not covered in FPB's budget

Continue the Legacy. Make a gift today.
