Our MSN program lets you choose from several majors, but virtually all MSN students must take nine core courses. It's important to understand that you must complete a required number of credit hours as well as clinical hours. The majors require an average of 40 credit hours, usually completed in three or four semesters (including summer). You'll need to put in at least 500 clinical hours for most MSN majors; the anesthesia, midwifery, cardiovascular, and flight nursing programs require even more.
The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing is proud to be one of only a few schools in the country to offer several areas of specialty and sub-specialty within the MSN program. We also offer several blended majors and joint degree programs. Click on the links below to read the details of each specialty area.
Two sample, full-time plans of two of our most popular majors give an idea of the curriculum involved in completing an M.S.N. If you have any questions, our admissions advisors are available to help you understand the options within your areas of interest.
