GRADUATE ENTRY DNP HEALTH & SAFETY INTRODUCTION

Policy on Health & Safety Requirements

Students must provide a written copy of their UHS health report that shows compliance with all requirements to start clinicals no later than Friday, August 22.

All Graduate Entry DNP students must maintain current documentation on file with the University Health Service and the Graduate Entry DNP Program that they meet certain health & safety requirements set by our clinical agencies.

Students may not attend any clinical experiences throughout the program unless documentation is on file that all health & safety requirements are met. Records may be checked at any time

These requirements are effective as of April 2008. Requirements are subject to change as indicated by expectations of our clinical agencies. Students will be notified of any changes and this website will be updated.

Be sure to keep personal copies of all your health and safety records.

There are four types of requirements. Please read the following sections for detailed information on each requirement:

Health requirements: All paperwork documenting that the health requirements needed to start clinicals have been met must be turned into the University Health Service as soon as possible but no later than August 15.

CPR training can be done before arriving on campus or at a session on Saturday, August 30. A copy of the CPR card must be given to Anne Watson (see below) no later than Friday, August 22 (or Tuesday, September 2 if the CPR training was done on August 23).

Liability insurance must be purchased and written verification given to Anne Watson no later than Friday, August 22.

Background check:must be completed and written reports sent directly to Anne Watson no later than Friday, August 22.
