April Hille, RN, BSN

Anticipated graduation date: December 2012

April Hille has gained experience in both the LPN and RN role in numerous nursing positions in a variety of healthcare settings. Currently, she works as a floor nurse on a step down cardiac unit in Florida. As a Public Health major with a certificate in Informatics, April hopes to assist the facilitation of Health Information Technology into areas of underserved populations. She is interested in traveling from local to international locations to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary in providing continuity of care across diverse healthcare settings. Her favorite part of the program includes the opportunity and convenience of distance learning, as well as the personalized attention gained from small classroom settings at Case.

Cristine Joligon, RN, BSN

Anticipated graduation date: August 2012

Cristine Joligon practices as an oncology nurse on a bone marrow transplant division. She became interested in the MSN program in Nursing Informatics as a supplemental healthcare technician educating caregivers on EHR software updates. Her current interests within the industry include project management and enhancing patient acquisition of healthcare information with the use of technology. She hopes to become a clinical analyst or healthcare IT consultant in the future. Her favorite part about CWRU’s Nursing Informatics program is the opportunities it has brought her and the collaborative and supportive nature of her colleagues within the program. 

Jess Pollack RN, MSN

Anticipated graduation date: May 2012

Jess Pollack is interning at the Cleveland Clinic in the Research Informatics department. She developed an interest in informatics while working with the recently implemented McKesson EHR during her nursing training at the University of Toledo. Her current interests in the field include usability testing, documentation, and personal health records. Jess would like to work in quality assurance or clinical analysis. She enjoys CWRU's technology-oriented campus and the opportunity to work with knowledgeable and enthusiastic mentors and classmates.

Amy Vanoverbeke, RN, BSN, CNOR

Anticipated graduation date: August 2012

Amy Vanoverbeke is a RN Coordinator in surgery specializing in Urology and Robotics. She became interested in Nursing Informatics when working to implement and teach the EHR to fellow coworkers when her hospital went to an EHR. Her current interests within the industry include implementation, teaching and project management to provide a better transition of staff nurses and other clinical staff with the implementation of the EHR. She hopes to continue with teaching and implementation of EHR systems with the option of becoming a consultant. Her favorite part about CWRU’s Nursing Informatics program is the option to provide classes in intensive formats and to provide distance learning through the use of online classes utilizing Adobe and Skype.
